Stayed for five days, 2 Adults, 2 Kids. Wish it could have been longer. This Cabin is fantastic. Spacious, Comfortable, Great location & Great views of the Pacific Ocean.

If you want to get away from it all and still be close enough to civilization and the beach of course, Cape House is the place.

All amenities too many to mention that you might require are in the cabin. Definitely want to go back.

I recently retired from teaching and selected a vacation on the Oregon coast as a celebration. I stayed at the Cape House just south of Gold Beach. I had a very private and wonderful retreat. The house was perfect for my needs and the view was awesome. I had a very short drive to the beach and town for shopping needs. I was blessed with great fall weather. My stay lasted for 30 days. Enjoyed the hot tub and had several days of warm sun to sit on the patio and enjoy the quiet comfort.

When the chill of the evening settled in, the home had a large fireplace and larger wood pile. The home provided everything I needed for a very restful stay. The coast scenery is beautiful and several days a walk on the beach provided entertainment enough for me.

I was also able to enjoy community theater with a short drive to a neighboring town. Many of the summer attractions were shutting down for the season, but I found plenty to keep me busy. The people of Gold Beach were friendly and helpful offering information regarding sights I could enjoy.

Highway 101 is the only route to the Cape House and the Gold Beach area and while that might make it less appealing for some it was also what made it quiet and beautiful. I flew into Eugene and rented a car, still not sure if there is a better route.

It was a great stay and I would recommend a visit to the area. The Cape House was pefect for me. I was able to entertain friends and family, just right for my retreat.
